About our school

Induna School opened in September 1999 and provides individualised teaching and learning programs. We are a school for secondary students with special needs. Our maximum enrolment at any time is 42 students.

Teaching and support staff are enthusiastic, caring and committed to supporting students to achieve their personal best in all aspects of education. Our staff aim to provide quality learning in a safe and friendly environment and to provide learning experiences that enthuse, motivate and provide students with personal success in learning.

Individually tailored programs provide students with opportunities to achieve successful outcomes in academic and vocational education. Each student has an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Personal Learning Plan (PLP) that aims to support them in completing a Record of School Achievement (ROSA), Higher School Certificate (HSC) or Technical and Further Education (TAFE) courses. Many students pursue HSC studies with an emphasis on vocational education and gain practical experiences, as well as Certificate 1 and Certificate 2 Australian Qualifications Framework(AQF) qualifications in the Building and Construction, Automotive, Hospitality and Horticultural industries.

Our students often comment they have learnt valuable academic and practical skills, and are more confident of what they can achieve in further education and employment.
Induna School operates primarily during the hours of 9am to 3pm during school terms, however evening and vacation TAFE programs are also provided.
